Skip Bayless ‘set to launch new show with rap legend Lil Wayne’
Skip Bayless was never going to leave the media world quietly and that day doesn’t seem to have come for him just yet.
The sports commentator’s next project will see him aligned with a longtime friend of his – rapper Lil Wayne.
According to former co-worker and ex-NFL star Marcellus Wiley, Bayless has his next steps already lined up.
‘He’s running it back with Lil Wayne,’ Wiley began in a YouTube video. ‘That’s what the word on the street is.
‘So I got this report, can’t out my source because then my source will be outed and I wouldn’t get any more information and intel like I did. Like I told you when Skip Bayless’s last day was at ‘Undisputed,’ that came to be true. This shall come to be true as well.’

Wiley said that the reason he mentioned the news about the new show was to inform fans that the rapper and the sports pundit are alike.
‘I am talking about this because a lot of times, I see conversations about Skip Bayless that I think really are misconstrued in terms of who Skip Bayless really is and who he is as a personality.’ Wiley said.
‘Also, Lil Wayne because Lil Wayne and his relationship with Skip Bayless, I don’t think people really understand it.
‘Let me tell you two things about both of these guys, that they are both at the top of the mountain. … The first one is their love for sports. … I mean I love me some sports, I played me some sports, but damn – both of them dudes love sports. If you’ve ever been around them, you would [know] that to be fact.’
Wiley’s report is the most recent inkling of what Bayless will be up to after his tenure at FOX Sports hosting the morning show ‘Undisputed’ came to an end back in August.
Bayless had hosted the show for eight years, but departed about a year after his old co-host, Shannon Sharpe, left for ESPN.
Wiley’s report is perhaps the most definite news regarding what Bayless will pursue after his tenure at FOX Sports hosting ‘Undisputed.’ In July, it was revealed Bayless would be leaving the show he had hosted for eight years, about a year after his longtime co-host Shannon Sharpe left for ESPN.
Since then, FOX has shuffled around its morning lineup and created two new shows.
Fox has shuffled its morning lineup now that Bayless’s ‘Undisputed’ is now off the airwaves
One, called ‘Breakfast Ball’ will see sports talk veterans Craig Carton, Mark Schlereth, and 에그벳 Danny Perkins join forces in the early slot.
Then, a new show called ‘The Facility’ – featuring ex-NFL stars Emmanuel Acho, LeSean McCoy, James Jones, and Chase Daniel – will fill the old slot held by ‘Undisputed’.
There will also be a roster shuffle for their shows ‘Speak’ and ‘First Things First’.
